We are looking for a HPWH Design Engineer for development of the refrigeration system for heat pump water heater.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the overall design of the refrigeration system of the heat pump water heater according to the project requirements and industry standards, formulate detailed design plans, covering system solutions, the selection of key components and other aspects. Be capable to follow thermodynamic development also in co-engineering with suppliers applied to OEM products.• Utilize professional knowledge and simulation software to conduct thermomechanical calculations, thermodynamic analyses, and performance optimizations on the system, ensuring the efficient and stable operation of the system and achieving energy-saving and environmental protection indicators. Be familiar with most common gases: R134a, R32, R290, R454c.
- Be able to independently undertake thermodynamic design of the heat pump water heater system solution, the fabrication and debugging of the prototype, and conduct in-depth analysis of the system performance issues.
- Participate in the research and development of new products, explore the application of new technologies and new materials in the heat pump water heater system, and promote product innovation and upgrading.
- Participate in formulating system test plans, including performance tests, reliability tests, and durability tests. Collect and analyze test data to evaluate system performance. Based on the test results, optimize and improve the system to enhance its efficiency, stability, and reliability.
- Solve the product problem/issue from Quality, Production and other departments.
- Carry out continuous quality improvement and cost reduction activities.
- Overlook Standards and Regulations related to Heat Pump Water Heater product range on several markets and manage requirements related mainly to Safety/ EMC / Performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above, major in thermal energy and power Engineering, refrigeration and cryogenic Engineering etc.
- Able to independently complete the design of the refrigeration system, including the selection and layout design of key components such as compressor, condenser, evaporator, and expansion valve. Knowledge of best vendors in such kind of components is expected.
- Good experimental testing and data analysis capabilities, be proficient in using various performance testing equipment for refrigeration systems, such as enthalpy difference laboratories, refrigerant leak detectors, noise analyzers, etc. Be able to accurately analyze the test data, and improve the energy efficiency ratio and stability of the refrigeration system by optimizing the system parameters.
- Have systematically studied professional courses such as engineering thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, refrigeration principles and equipment, etc. Have a deep understanding of the cycle principles of heat pump water heaters or air conditioners, and be familiar with the characteristics and applications of various refrigerants.
- Ability to solve technical problems independently and strong sense of innovation.
- Knowledge of project management according to company procedures.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of finished goods.
- Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses. Experience in plastic/steel components design is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of 2D/3D design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, and models.
- Basic knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
The ideal candidates:
• Have more than 3 years of work experience in the thermodynamic design of heat pump water heater or related HVAC-R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and refrigeration) systems for both domestic and commercial application.
• Contributed to at least 3 complete development projects of heat pump water heater or air conditioner products, covering the whole process from design to mass production.
• Familiarity with the standards and specifications of heat pump water heater or air conditioner. a structured and proactive approach to the product development and problem solving.
• Good written and spoken English skills for an efficient daily global communication.
• Have good learning ability and practical ability, be good at gathering experience and knowledge during daily work, finish task in time and give feedback quickly, have good executive capability.
