REGIONAL PRODUCT DIRECTOR HEATING, CHINA

In your role as Regional Product Director Heating you will be responsible for defining and managing the product range for the Region China, according to the Group Product Strategy and Product Development Platforms guidelines. You bring specific knowledge of the local markets and work closely with the Business Unit Heating, all the way through the Product Development process to achieve consolidation of requirements to maximize Platform’s benefits.You report directly to the Head of China and in dotted line to the Executive Vice President of the Business Unit Heating

 

Your main activities include:

  • Monitor local regulations
  • Assess and monitor Region China market size
  • Monitor competitors’ strategies, activities and product range, and future plans for Region China
  • Lead the generation of valuable customer and consumer insights in collaboration with Group Marketing Customer Insight Unit
  • Contribute to the Group Product Strategy and the Product Development process, in terms of technical specifications and economics of new products whose development process you follow, liaising with Group Product Management
  • Ensure consistency between business strategy and product strategy for the Region China and Business Unit Heating
  • Coordinate the launch of new products in the Region China, also through Local Product Marketing, which functionally reports to you
  • Ensure the monitoring of the results of new product launches 
  • Periodically and according to a defined frequency, review and trim as necessary the product range for the different countries of responsibility, in collaboration with Group Product Marketing

 

As our ideal candidate you hold a Master degree in Business Economics or equivalent with 10 years of solid experience in product development and sales, across the Heating domain, considering the seniority and experiences in Heating industry needed. Experience in managing complex projects is required. A good network of contacts in industries is a plus.

 

Other key knowledge and experiences include 

  • Deep understanding of key markets of responsibility in Region China
  • Mastering of both technical and commercial aspects of the product
  • Ability to understand product implications of regulations
  • Experience in customer insight analysis
  • Strong conflict resolution and collaboration skills
  • At ease working in a matrix organization with strong dual reporting
  • Flexibility and open-minded
  • Availability to travel
  • Excellent written and oral Mandarin and English communication skills
