As Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer your mission will be to ensure that supplier’s processes and capabilities meet the design requirements. You will work in a team environment as a key resource to develop new sources components ensuring the proper definition of specification, proposing solutions for cost competitiveness and being the joint between the company and the suppliers.
Responsabilities:
- Support supplier selection through robust qualification processes and based on screening, prioritize preferred suppliers
- Assess new and existing supplier capabilities to meet product, cost, quality, capacity and fulfillment
- Ensuring suppliers are able to meet requirements for performance, quality, cost and delivery of components and requirements for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other applicable system and reputation requirements
- Develop positive relationships and work closely with buyer to manage, implement and track supplier/engineering design changes, capacity studies and New Product Introductions, and transfers
- Provide technical expertise and leadership to sourcing and development of suppliers with respect to technology, performance, quality, cost, logistics and delivery
- Responsible for driving supplier component development and approval though Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), supplier interaction and support cost reduction activity
- Perform new supplier validation audits
- Ensure component’s key milestones are achieved during new product development
- Meet target ensuring respect of assigned budgets
- Implement and contribute to Lesson Learnt taking advantage of experience during development
Skills:
- Experience in Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and program management
- Experience in developing and implementing vendor qualification
- Knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
- Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
- Good communication and interpersonal skill.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Physics, Materials or Chemical
- Substantial experience in a high volume manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
- Business English knowledge
- Spanish advanced language
- Ability to manage time and consistently meet deadlines
- Problem solving and team working
