REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

As part of the Heating Sales team, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the effective performance of Ariston Group’s brand and growth activities within a geographical or major customer related area (the Region). The Atlantic-North Regional Sales Manager will drive Sales Share Growth and Product penetration within the designated region by understanding and partnering with the Agency Representatives and Ariston Technical Services, Marketing, Product Management and Customer Care teams to support and grow business with Contractors/Installers, Wholesale Distributor Customers, Specifiers, and Builders. Â
This position executes the sales plan by increasing company revenue through regular meetings, partner development, contractor engagement, and leveraging market influencers and partnership knowledge to coordinate sales efforts at all levels. Manages regional programming and works with sales leadership to ensure programming aligns with expanding Ariston’s brand presence, growth strategies and profitability goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

•   Develop and execute an annual regional business plan with sales, share, product mix, distribution, contractor conversion and profitability objectives. Â
•   Lead manufacturer representative agencies through regular performance review, joint market plans, field activity and clear accountability for results.
•   Build productive relationships with distributor leadership and branches while developing demand downstream with contractors, installers, engineers, builders, owners and other market influencers.
•   Expand product placement and share by identifying distribution gaps, competitive conversions, specification opportunities, commercial projects and underserved markets. Â
•   Plan field travel around measurable market priorities.  Coordinate distributor visits, contractor calls, training, jobsite support and agency activity before each trip.
•   Partner with Technical Services, Training, Product Management, Marketing, Customer Care, Finance and Operations to resolve customer needs and execute regional initiatives. Â
•   Communicate pricing, programs, product changes and company policies accurately and consistently. Protect margin and follow established approval processes. Â
•   Represent Ariston professionally in the market and take ownership of commitments through completion.  Escalate risks early and bring recommended solutions. Â
•   Coordinate related activities with internal stakeholders, customers, and prospects throughout the sales lifecycle, from prospecting to implementation.
•   Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
•   Professional demeanour, effective negotiator, cool under fire, multi-tasking capability, can-do attitude, assumes ownership for driving results.
•   Foster understanding of and adherence to sales processes and policies.
•   Intellectually curious with an understanding that the goal is to make the business grow.

Education & Experience

•   Associate degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and industry experience required; bachelor's degree preferred.
•   Minimum of seven years of progressive outside sales, business development or channel management experience in boilers, hydronics, HVAC or a related industry; ten years preferred.
•   Proven record of growing a multi-state territory through manufacturer representatives, wholesale distribution and downstream demand creation.  •   Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. Experience in preparing forecasts, account plans, presentations and sales reports is required.
•   Excellent written and verbal communication skills
