PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Product Manager is accountable for the overall performance of Ariston Group’s product portfolio. This role oversees and coordinates activities across Engineering, Production, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and the marketplace to drive optimal economic value (EVA) for both new and existing products.
As a management position, the Product Manager is also responsible for supporting the sales organization by providing effective marketing tools and resources to maximize product adoption and sales performance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recommends and establishes pricing structures, policies, and discount programs based on cost analysis and competitive market conditions.
- Identifies new product opportunities and recommends product enhancements or modifications based on marketing research and analysis of customer needs and preferences.
- Develops and maintains marketing tools and materials, including sales and technical literature, advertising, videos, competitive comparison spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations to support product promotion.
- Provides education and training to field sales teams on new and existing products.
- Researches and identifies potential markets for new and existing product lines.
- Conducts field and trade show visits to monitor competitive activity and industry trends.
- Designs and administers surveys to support research into new concepts and existing product improvements.
- Prepares and provides individual product sales forecasts.
- Analyzes market performance for Ariston Group products and recommends product additions, discontinuations, modifications, sales promotions, and improvements to marketing literature.
- Demonstrates strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Assists in determining applicable regulatory requirements by product category and target market.
- Maintains accurate records and prepares reports to track market and area activity.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President, Sales & Marketing.

The following is a brief description of some of the processes in the Product Manager’s duties but is not limited to:
A. Â Â Minimum two years experience in product development with industry knowledge of water heaters and boilers.
B. Â Â Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships across all levels internally and externally.
C. Â Â Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
D. Â Â Ability to effectively manage crisis situations.
E. Â Â Demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple projects with minimum supervision.
F. Â Â Ability to organize and conduct successful trips.
G. Â Â Experienced in the applications of: MS Office, which includes Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Required - associate’s degree
Preferred - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required - Minimum two years’ experience in product development with industry knowledge of water heaters and boilers.
Required - Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills. Â Attention to detail.
Required - Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Required - Proficient computer skills using Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Preferred - Experience in HVAC, hydronic heating or water heating products.

- Language Skills – Ability to read, write and speak English.  Ability to effectively present information to management.
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
