We’re looking for a Raw Material Planner to take ownership of our raw material planning process, ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement and availability of essential materials like steel, copper, and insulation. This is a high-impact role that sits at the heart of our manufacturing operations.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute raw material planning strategies aligned with production forecasts.
  • Analyze BOMs, production plans, and inventory data to determine material needs.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels—avoiding both shortages and excess.
  • Partner with procurement to ensure timely supplier deliveries.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and support sourcing decisions.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for efficient material handling.
  • Mitigate risks related to material availability, quality, and lead times.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning and supply chain processes.
  • Use ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) to plan, track, and report.
  • Prepare and present KPIs and performance reports.
  • Manage import/export documentation and compliance.
  • Oversee logistics and transportation of goods from origin to destination.

 

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in material planning or supply chain roles.
  • Strong grasp of production planning, inventory control, and procurement.
  • ERP system proficiency and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the heavy metal industry.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and JIT principles.
  • Familiarity with international sourcing and logistics.
