HR SPECIALIST

We are looking for a motivated and detail-driven HR Specialist to join our HR team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role offers an exciting blend of hands-on HR operations and people-focused initiatives, with a strong emphasis on talent acquisition, employee benefits, and HR administration. This position is ideal for an HR professional early in their career who is eager to learn, take ownership, and grow into broader HR responsibilities over time. You will work closely with HR Manager gaining end-to-end exposure across core HR processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
- Partner with department leaders to understand workforce needs and support staffing plans.
- Support and manage full-cycle recruitment for blue-collar and white-collar roles.
- Proactively source candidates using multiple channels (job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, networking).
- Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support selection decisions.
- Assist with offer preparation, negotiations, and onboarding processes.
- Contribute to employer branding initiatives and maintain positive candidate experiences throughout the recruitment journey.
Employee Benefits & Engagement
- Support the implementation and administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, wellness initiatives, recognition programs, and company events.
- Act as a first point of contact for employee benefit-related questions and communications.
- Assist in organizing engagement activities, surveys, and feedback initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation of benefit programs, vendor agreements, and employee participation.
Social Insurance & HR Compliance
- Administer social insurance processes such as employee registrations, status changes, and contribution updates.
- Process employee claims related to medical leave, maternity leave, and other statutory benefits.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting and payments to relevant authorities.
- Coordinate healthcare provider registrations and updates.
- Handle administrative tasks including social insurance book consolidation, replacements, and regulatory forms.
Payroll Activities
• Executes time and attendance processing and interfaces for payroll form in the system.
• Coordinates the payroll process performed by external payroll agency.
• Manages workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
• Reconciles payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
• Ensure all new starters, leavers and promotions are processed accurately and timely.
• Serve as the main contact for employees regarding their benefits including pension, health insurance etc.
• Support initiatives to increase employee understanding of payroll.
HR Operations Support
- Support day-to-day HR administration and documentation.
- Maintain employee records in HRIS systems with a strong focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist in audits, reports, and internal HR projects as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in an HR Specialist or HR Generalist role, preferably within an international manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruitment, particularly for BC and WC roles.
- Solid knowledge of Serbian labor law and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience using HRIS systems and recruitment tools (e.g.,SAP, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
Skills & Competencies
- Good sourcing, screening, and candidate assessment capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Fluency in Serbian and English (written and spoken).
