We’re looking for a Plant Logistics Manager to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of our plant’s logistics operations. Your Mission
As Plant Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and optimization of all inbound logistics and internal material flows. You will lead a team and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless production support and logistics performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead plant logistics operations from production scheduling to inbound logistics, raw materials warehousing, and line feeding (excluding finished goods).
- Develop and manage production schedules and material planning aligned with plant needs.
- Ensure timely material availability by coordinating with suppliers and procurement, adjusting delivery plans based on MRP and production changes.
- Oversee transportation, warehouse operations, and logistics KPIs including safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance, supporting risk mitigation strategies.
- Define stock keeping strategies, optimize inventory rotation, and manage raw material warehouses.
- Improve internal logistics and line feeding strategies to enhance flow and reduce waste.
- Contribute to plant layout design/redesign for optimal logistics flow.
- Lead the Logistics & Customer Service (LCS) pillar within the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) framework.
- Coach and develop the warehouse workforce, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with HSE, Quality, Production, Engineering, HR, and Controlling to meet plant targets.
What You Bring
- Degree in Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics roles within manufacturing environments.
- Strong expertise in material planning, scheduling, inventory, and warehouse management.
- Proficiency in MRP systems, logistics KPIs, and lean tools (e.g., PFEP, VSM, flow analysis).
- Solid understanding of logistics safety, environmental standards, and logistics engineering.
- Familiarity with cost/performance accounting and WCM or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken), Italian is a plus.
