HSE CLUSTER MANAGER (M/F/D)

The HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Cluster Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting the implementation of HSE programs across production and non-production sites within the assigned cluster. In this role, you will guide local teams in aligning with corporate HSE strategies, legal requirements, and industry best practices while fostering a proactive safety culture across all locations.
You will work closely with site managers, local HSE coordinators, engineering teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure a safe, compliant, and continuously improving work environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Define and communicate HSE roles and responsibilities across all cluster sites, ensuring HSE systems are properly established, implemented, maintained, and adequately resourced.
- Monitor compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations as well as internal standards and Group requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture and develop strategies to minimize workplace hazards and environmental risks.
- Support sites in analyzing, consolidating, and monitoring HSE performance indicators (leading and lagging KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and support local HSE coordinators in a dotted-line structure, acting as coach and technical advisor while promoting awareness of legal responsibilities and best practices.
- Assist sites in defining and implementing HSE training solutions to meet legal and operational requirements.
- Coordinate and support internal and external HSE audits, inspections, and all related follow-up activities.
- Lead and support risk assessments, incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and preventive action planning with a focus on learning and prevention.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure HSE considerations are integrated into projects, processes, and change management activities.
- Monitor and improve the implementation of Safety & Environmental Management Systems in line with legal developments, ISO standards, and Group strategy.
- Analyze accident and incident statistics, identify trends, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Facilitate the sharing of HSE best practices across cluster locations to ensure strong corporate alignment and operational excellence.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in HSE management, preferably in manufacturing environments and/or multi-site regional roles.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and management systems, particularly ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Experience with operational excellence programs (e.g. WCM) is an advantage.
- Strong skills in risk assessment, incident investigation, auditing, and HSE training.
- Qualification to conduct safety training is preferred.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.

This position reports directly to the Group Senior HSE Director and works in close collaboration with site management, local HSE coordinators, and cross-functional stakeholders across the region.
