We are looking for a MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING whose main responsibility is driving industrial projects related Wuxi Plant. The work includes new product introduction, production efficiency, cost control, quality improvement and technical upgrading.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as project manager for plant projects, new technology introduction or multi-supplier projects in a single plant.
- Supporting the Manufacturing Engineering Manager/Director in the execution of major and complex manufacturing engineering projects/initiatives.
- Developing and consolidating a central state-of-the-art knowledge on all key manufacturing process technologies relevant for the Group.
- Maintaining connections with current and potential suppliers to follow the latest technological developments and to understand the suppliers’ future roadmap.
- Redaction of standard RFQ documents.
- Maintaining connections with plants and R&D to understand current technology deployment and improvement opportunities.
- Introduce new products into production, provide technical support for production and process.
- Solve the product failure problems from Quality, Production and other departments.
- Carry out continuous quality improvement and cost reduction activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above. Mechanical, automation, preferred.
- 3-5 years working experience. Home appliance, Water Heaters ,Heat pump water heater or air-conditioner design experience preferred.
- Reading and written English is basic, English speaking is must.
- 2D CAD drawings skills on production plant layout.
- Familiar with machining, materials, surface treatment, application of all kinds of standard parts and other related knowledge. Home appliance related experience is preferred.
- Technical competences:
- Metal forming (punching, bending).
- Welding (TIG-MIG-PLASMA-LASER).
- Automation.
- Ability to solve technical problems independently and strong sense of innovation.
The ideal candidate:
• The ideal candidate knows how to concretely deploy industrial projects as Project Manager and apply the WCM methodology (EEM Pillar) in manufacturing plants can drive continuous improvement.
• She/he has at least 3-5 years of experience in production, industrial engineering, production line installation, start-up and commissioning, and/or supplier management.
• She/he has strong mechanical background.
• She/he is eager to phase-out and solve problems in industrial processes.
• She/he has a pragmatic and entrepreneurial spirit, organizational and planning skills, ability to work in team and to engage and mobilize the wider organization.
• She/he is available to frequent business trips to support the assigned plants.
• Proficiently master 2D CAD software, ability to use SAP and Dassault PLM is considered a plus.
• Have basic electric design know how.
• Have good written and spoken English skills for an efficient daily global communication.
