Ariston Group is evolving toward Home Energy Management (HEM) solutions, where thermal comfort products become part of an intelligent ecosystem capable of optimizing household energy consumption, integrating renewable energy sources (e.g. photovoltaic systems), improving self-consumption and energy cost management and interacting with smart home platforms and energy services. To scale this model, building strategic partnerships and maintaining an up-to-date, hands-on vision of the continuously evolving HEM market is essential.

 

Your role

Your primary focus will be developing business opportunities through partnerships, rather than on the technical development of solutions. You will work closely with the Head of HEM & DR to identify relevant partners, build concrete collaborations and capture market needs and new opportunities. You will also contribute to the evolution of the HEM portfolio by bringing structured insights from the market, partners, and competitive analysis.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Partnership & Business Development

  • Identify and analyze potential partners in the areas of home energy management, smart home, photovoltaic systems and self-consumption, energy consumption optimization platforms
  • Support the setup and management of collaborations (pilots, agreements, joint initiatives) 
  • Contribute to the development of business opportunities linked to HEM solutions

 

Opportunity Scouting

  • Identify new use cases and market needs (e.g. bill optimization, energy optimization, device integration) 
  • Analyze emerging trends and business models in the HEM space 
  • Support the assessment of the potential of new partnerships

 

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Monitor competitors’ HEM solutions (products, platforms, services) 
  • Analyze positioning, features, and business models of key players 
  • Attend industry fairs and events across Europe to identify new trends and technologies, engage with potential partners and gather market insights

 

Portfolio Contribution

  • Collaborate with the HEM & DR Product Manager to share market insights, identify portfolio gaps and contribute to the evolution of HEM solutions
  • Support decision-making related to new integrations or strategic collaborations

 

Interoperability & Ecosystem Development

  • Contribute to the development of an open and integrated ecosystem 
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving interoperability across Ariston Group solutions 
  • Facilitate collaboration between external partners and internal teams (R&D, Connectivity, Business Units)

YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in Engineering (Energy, Management, Electrical, Electronic, or similar) 
  • 1–3 years of experience (or relevant academic/project experience) in Home Energy Management, Smart home / IoT,  Energy Systems (photovoltaics, self-consumption, energy optimization)
  • Strong interest in business development and partnerships 
  • Solid market analysis and competitive benchmarking skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders 
  • Ability to link technical aspects to business value 
  • Willingness to travel (trade fairs and events across Europe) 
  • Fluency in English and Italian

 

Nice to have

  • Basic knowledge of HEM and smart home platforms, system integration (APIs, protocols), residential energy consumption dynamics (energy bills, self-consumption)
