We are looking for a dynamic and technically minded Technical Sales Support & Training Specialist to assist our Pre-Sales Manager and support our agents and channel partners. This role focuses on delivering product training, providing technical support, and ensuring customer satisfaction through deep product knowledge and responsive engagement.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Pre-Sales Manager with product demonstrations, training materials, and customer engagements.
  • Deliver ongoing product and technical training to internal sales teams, agents, and key channel partners.
  • Design & manage the training program for merchants & installers.
  • Serve as a technical resource for complex product queries and application support.
  • Liaise with customers and sales agents to clarify technical requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Support Warranty Manager – Sales Agents & customers on technical as well as installation requirements as well as support on complaints in this regard.
  • Monitor and report on training outcomes, technical support trends, and product-related issues.
  • Provide input into new product development and enhancements based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Assist in preparing technical documentation, FAQs, and product-related support materials.
  • Provide technical input on quotes, Pro-forma invoices, and customer proposals.
  • Assist in resolving technical complaints and troubleshooting customer issues efficiently.
  • Support internal teams with accurate product data, technical sheets, and installation guidance.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of all product ranges and new developments.
  • Communicate via various mediums (email, telephone, in-person) with customers, internal teams, and sales agents.
  • Ensure all product and training-related queries are addressed timeously with accuracy and professionalism.

 

Key Requirements:

•    Formal trade qualification in plumbing, preferably NQF 4 or higher will be highly recommended
•    Min qualification of Matric needed 
•    Formal training on the installation on one or more water heating products
•    Strong technical understanding of the building and construction market is essential
•    Ability to read and interpret building/construction drawings and specifications
•    Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in a technical support, pre-sales, or training role in the construction or building materials industry
•    Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems will be an advantage
•    Familiarity with BOQ (Bill of Quantity) documentation and pricing structures
