Job description
- Lead, evaluate, and develop maintenance staff so that repair and service activities are completed accurately, safely, and on-time.
- Develop and implement repair and maintenance procedures.
- Plan, prioritise, schedule, and manage maintenance activities (for example planned maintenance programmes, shut-downs, or emergency repairs) to rectify break-downs and malfunctions and minimise business disruptions.
- Produce and be accountable for the yearly maintenance budget.
- Estimate the cost, time, and resources required for repair projects.
- Monitor the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve timeliness, reliability, and safety standards.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new maintenance equipment and tools to enhance the capabilities of the maintenance team.
- Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with external contractors (for example builders, electricians) to minimise costs and ensure the organisation receives satisfactory standards of service.
- Liaise with functional or operational area managers throughout the organization to coordinate scheduled maintenance activities with their operations.
- Job description can be changed to be adaptable with the change of the business & the revised job description will be re-signed as the contract appendix.
- Implement other allowable tasks assigned by line manager.
- Be responsible on the work quality, compliance on the legal regulations and company procedures for the employees.
- Comply with the company's regulations, and regulations on fire prevention, occupational safety and health.
Job requirements
- Have at least 3 years of experience in the same position in manufacturing companies.
- Have good analysis and presentation skills.
- Good at lean manufacturing & kaizen system.
- Fluent English communication.
- Master in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Project and cost management.
- Drawing SW as Autocad/ Cadra/ Solidworks or 2D/3D technical design.
- Basics of World Class Manufacturing (or other continuous improvement approaches).
- Safety and Environment concepts applied to production processes.
- Knowledge on core production processes like metal stamping, welding, enameling, painting, polyurethane injection, assembly and automation.
