Job description
As R&D Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the R&D Platform, and you will report to the R&D Mechanical Design and Sustaining Manager.
The aim of the role is to develop mechanical parts & assemblies of Domestic Electrical appliances for water heating applications, manage the product BOM, manage the products maintenance projects and support on engineering stage.
The candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Develop mechanical parts and assemblies & drawings using 3D cad modelling (Solid Works)
  • Create and release technical documentation as specifications for purchases components
  • Contribute at the definition of the test plan for components and product validation
  • Supervise and collaboration on the construction of prototypes samples
  • Contact with supplier on technical topics, collaborate with other R&D team and company departments
  • Collaborate with engineering and plant to support and make production efficient
  • Develop product Bill of Material using SAP, according to industrialization needs
  • Maintain/change existing products to reach cost saving, quality improvement, regulation compliancy, ensuring costs and timing
  • Work on production sustaining activities

 

Job requirements

  • Engineer with 4-5 years of experience, preferably in HVAC/White Goods companies.
  • Good knowledge of 2D/3D cad software (Solid Works preferred) and experience in CUT & BENDING, DIE, MOLD technologies and piping
  • Analytical and planning skills
  • Ability to manage time and consistently meet deadlines
  • Problem solving and team working
  • English knowledge
  • The knowledge of materials, corrosion phenomena, hydraulics and heat transmission principle are a plus.
  • A basic knowledge of electrical design and/or electronics is a plus
