Turning uncertainty into knowledge. Turning knowledge into future solutions.
At Ariston Group, innovation starts long before a product reaches the market. It begins with understanding what is possible, exploring emerging technologies, and generating the knowledge that shapes future products and solutions.
As a Research Stream / Project Leader, you will lead complex research initiatives across strategic technology domains, connecting experimentation, modeling and multidisciplinary expertise to transform uncertainty into structured, reusable knowledge.
This is not a traditional project role. You will combine project leadership with a research mindset, creating the conditions for multidisciplinary teams to explore, learn and progressively converge toward knowledge that can enable future products and technologies.
What you'll do
- Lead and coordinate complex, multidisciplinary research projects and streams, involving internal functions, universities and external partners
- Coordinate experiments, simulations and technical investigations, ensuring that activities are connected to clear knowledge gaps and research objectives
- Connect Research, Development, Simulation, Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering, Quality, and external research partners
- Guide projects toward the generation of structured, reusable engineering knowledge, such as models, trade-off curves, feasibility maps and reference frameworks
- Support teams in exploring alternatives, understanding trade-offs and progressively converging through evidence
- Translate complex findings into clear insights that support evidence-based decisions for future products and technologies
- Facilitate collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and research ecosystems
What we're looking for
- Master's degree in Engineering (PhD is a plus)
- At least 4 years of experience coordinating research and/or product development projects, preferably funded projects and/or projects involving universities and external partners
- Experience working across multidisciplinary teams and functions; exposure to Product Development, Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering and Quality is a plus
- Strong technical background and curiosity across engineering domains. Experience in materials, hydraulics or domestic hot water applications is particularly relevant; knowledge of energy systems, heat transfer and thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, acoustics, electronics or control systems is a plus
- Strong project management, systems-thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- A research and exploratory mindset: ability to operate in uncertain environments and manage projects so that learning is progressively transformed into structured and reusable knowledge
- Hands-on attitude and interest in research
- Willingness to work with Lean / Agile project management approaches; PMP certification is a plus
- Fluent English and Italian
