HSE AND FACILITIES SENIOR SPECIALIST

The role, will be in charge of the following activities:

 

  • Lead HSE activities to ensure legal compliance to local legal requirements.
  • Conduct job exposure analysis to ensure safe work environment according to HSE standards and local legal requirements.
  • Monitor the implementation of appropriate HSE procedures and provide updates in line with legislation and Group standards’ changes.
  • Develop, implement, and administer safety and health programs.
  • Develop and maintain the site health and safety management system according to ISO 45001:2018 standard.
  • Develop and maintain the site environmental management system according to ISO 14001:2015 standard.
  • Ensure effective incident management including incident investigations, root cause identification, prevention plans setting, follow up and reporting. 
  • Recognize and reward input from employees that improve safety and health in the work place.
  • Ensure daily, weekly, monthly and annual inspections and perform self-assessment and internal audits to comply with local regulations.
  • Maintain relevant HSE logs and documentation. 
  • Design safety training programs for employees, ensure the response to all requirements and maintain knowledge of all company safety programs, draft all materials for training programs within required timeframe.
  • Oversee waste management system, waste reduction monitoring and ensure regulatory agency compliance, labeling, containments, proper disposal and documentation.
  • Maintain relationship with public institutions (Municipality, Province, Region, Local Healthcare Institution, Regional Environmental Protection Agency, Fire Department), also for inspections, requests for authorizations and/or licenses.
  • Perform preventive and reactive maintenance activities, dealing with maintenance contractors and vendors to supervise and monitor all the buildings equipment and furniture. Manage properly all the documentation related to the projects and ensure the alignment of the costs to the Budget;
  • Inspect and monitor general conditions of the building including equipment, air conditioning system, fire-prevention and anti-intrusion systems, furnishing, green areas;
  • Monitor maintenance contracts and deadlines; contribute to the installation of new equipment and manage Office Layout.

 

QUALIFICATION:

 

  • University Degree in Engineering filed;
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the same (or similar) roles in structured companies.
  • expertise in legislation of health, safety and environment applied in industrial/laboratory/R&D engineering field;
  • strong organizational and relational skills with ability to manage task “cradle to grave” in an R&D facility of approximately 100 people;
  • leadership attitude with goal orientation and proactive thinking;
  • fluent English;
  • availability to limited travel.
